Originally an Electronics graduate from University of Edinburgh in 1972, I had the opportunity to pursue my other passion of Geology when I semi-retired from the subsea technology industry in 1996.  I was encouraged to study for a geology degree at Aberdeen, as a (very!) mature student, and graduated with honours in 2003.  I was then Secretary to AGS for four years, during which time I worked hard to revitalise the organisation.  I remain very committed to sustaining our society and broadening its reach to both professional and amateur geologists.  I have an interest in most aspects of geology, but I’m particularly interested in Scottish Geology, especially the Dalradian.
