Glen Roy

This is the third day of a 4 part excursion exploring geomorphology west of the Cairngorms. In part 3 we will be visiting Glen Roy and the famous Parallel roads feature.

The trip will commence at 9:30am at the Glen Roy viewpoint (NN 297 853).  Locations to be visited are:

1. Glen Roy overlook
2. Walk to shorelines (the parallel roads)
3. Drive to the end of the glen to see the delta fan.

As a precaution, because this is a big area, we ask that all participants have a map of the area (OS Landranger 34, Explorer 400), a compass and a whistle.

Note that participants must make their own accommodation arrangements.

We anticipate having a group dinner at 7:30pm in the Cairn Hotel, Carrbridge on the Sunday evening
