Field trip: Tollohill Wood

Dear AGS member,

The first field trip of 2019 will be an exploration trip to Tollohill Wood this coming Saturday 18th May. The meet up time is 10am at the car park detailed in the attached link. As parking is limited to about 12 cars and the forest is used by dog walkers can you please try to car share where possible? The main purpose of the visit is to explore the various granite quarries in the forest as well as the outcrop below a monument put up by Queen Victoria in memory of Prince Albert. There are good, solid walking paths but there will be some rough walking to get into the quarries and  close to the quarry faces.

For those interested we will then head into Aberdeen for a bite to eat and a pint or two for about 12.30 (city centre venue to be decided based on numbers).
