2008 Cononish Gold Mine
Ten members had an exciting and highly informative visit to Cononish gold mine (near Tyndrum) on Sat 18th October 2008. We were welcomed by owners and staff who gave us chapter and verse on their prospecting situation, and a fascinating trip underground – about 500m into the mountain. Well done to Sidney for pressing for this outing, and especially to Clive for using his knowledge and influence to achieve the visit.
